February has been filled with “fun” exams, just a week of them left now then its time for a sneaky trip to Exeter, Bristol and Belfast before returning to Glasgow for the last term of university as an undergraduate – well all being well. I’ve been trying to convince myself that exams are like pub quizzes, except that for exams you’ve revised for all the various “rounds” or questions that potentially could come up. Pub quizzes are fun, therefore can exams not be? Maybe not…
Elsewhere this month the flat tradition of pancake Tuesday continued. Richard Workman & fiancée Lydia turned up for some pancake throwing action, not to mention some egg-juggling. All in all messy, but definitely a good night, and who doesn’t like pancakes? Below are a few video’s from the eve.
Additionally i’ve been hitting the swimming pool a bit more this month and actually resorting to some serious swimming style set training. It brings back memories of years swimming in Templemore Avenue in Belfast, and not to forget the years in Bangor swimming club too. Additionally, the muscles are feeling it – which is good. So far we’ve done a few pyramid sets (2,4,6,8,10,8,6,4,2 lengths), kick sets and some sprints. If you’ve any suggestions for sets, would love to hear them! Michael Topping has joined me in this escapade. He’s got a triathlon to prepare for, and well I just want an excuse to keep exercising and I love gliding through the water – so relaxing and you can be in your own world. Speaking for myself when you keep swimming lengths, you eventually start singing songs in your head – the only question remains, which song do you go for? Tough choices in life…
And so in a nutshell, that was February. Hope you’ve had a good month.
